Launching a website means checking the customer process as well as the pages. A Darwin business needs accurate contact details, working enquiries and clear information about its services before the new site is promoted.

Use one checklist with a named owner for each task. Finish the important customer and business checks before changing the domain or sending campaign traffic to the site.

Confirm the business information

Read every service page and check the name, phone, email, address and coverage. Confirm prices, inclusions, operating hours and any claims about qualifications or availability with the business.

Check seasonal notices and downloadable files too. A current page can still link to an old menu, offer or document that creates confusion.

Complete the main customer tasks

Use the site on a phone and a desktop. Find a service, open the menu, follow a contact button and check a booking route. Review the footer and error page as well as the Home page.

The mobile check guide gives a practical sequence. Look for clipping, unreadable text, missing images and buttons that lead to the wrong place.

Test forms on the actual host

Confirm that the hosting service detects the forms and that notifications go to the right recipient. Submit a controlled test after deployment, then check the stored entry, notification and confirmation screen.

A local preview can verify field behaviour but cannot prove production delivery. Keep the test record separate from real enquiries and make sure your team knows how to access submissions.

Review the production URLs

Use the intended domain in canonical links, sitemap entries and social metadata. Check HTTPS, redirects from old URLs and the response for a missing page. Keep the preview domain separate from the public search setup.

Use the SEO foundations guide to review crawl access and metadata. Do not leave a production site blocked by a temporary preview setting.

Check again after the switch

Revisit the main pages on the public domain and repeat the enquiry test. Confirm that bookings, maps and external tools still work. Give the business a clear list of accounts and update responsibilities.

Our Darwin web design service can prepare the site and agreed launch checks. Keep a record of the first release so later improvements have a clear starting point.
