A form submission is a contact attempt. A confirmed booking is a different event, and completed paid work is different again. Keeping those stages separate makes website reporting useful for a Darwin business.

Start with the decisions you want the report to support. You might need to know which services attract suitable enquiries, where customers are located or whether a campaign produces work you can deliver.

Define the customer actions

List the actions visitors can take: tap a phone link, submit a quote request, open a booking tool or complete a booking. Give each a clear name.

A phone-link tap does not prove the person spoke to your team. An outbound booking click does not prove an appointment was confirmed. Label reports accurately and use confirmation data when the tools can provide it.

Add a qualification step

Record whether each enquiry matches your services, coverage and capacity. A Darwin business can receive requests from areas it does not regularly visit, or for jobs it no longer offers.

Those enquiries help identify unclear pages. They should not count the same as suitable leads when you assess which service content needs attention.

Follow the lead through the business

Use a simple lead log or your existing customer system. Record the date, service, source when known, status and outcome. Allow for repeat contact about the same job.

For example, a customer might call after submitting a form. Treat that as one lead with two contact actions when the records make the connection clear.

Compare costs with the right outcome

A campaign’s enquiry cost and customer acquisition cost answer different questions. Divide campaign spend by relevant enquiries for the first measure, and by resulting customers for the second when you have reliable records.

Do not present an estimate as a measured return. Include tool fees and the time period, and remember that some quotes take longer to become work.

Choose the next change from the evidence

If enquiries arrive but few qualify, improve the service explanation or coverage details. If suitable people abandon a form, check the fields and mobile layout. If contacts are suitable but responses are slow, review the handoff.

The enquiry troubleshooting guide helps diagnose those stages. Our Darwin website and local SEO work can then focus on the part of the process that needs attention.
